Dedication Ceremony performed by Dr. Shirley Ann Jackson, President of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute on Thursday, Sept. 17.
The New Clermont team was at Brown's Brewing Co., in Troy, on Thurs. eve., Nov. 19th, 6:30 - 10:00, for a celebratory get-together. The team had a chance to chill out and we met some supporters and followers who cheered us on throughout the project. A good time was had by all.

We will be using 2 of these for our journey

Through our work with The New Clermont Project we are able to meet and visit with many other interesting groups that are doing great work.

The goal of the Science Barge is to promote the sustainable development of cities around the world. It is a sustainable urban farm that grows crops using a hydroponic greenhouse powered by solar panels, wind turbines, and biofuels. The crops in the greenhouse are irrigated by captured rainwater and desalinated river water. Food is grown without carbon emissions, no agricultural waste is discharged into the watershed and no pesticides are used.
